I have an aftermarket roller shutter. Which option should I choose?
No. The roller-shutter remote function only works with the genuine Ford factory powered roller shutter.
If your Ranger has an aftermarket roller shutter, select the No Roller Shutter option when configuring your key.
If you're unsure which option to choose, contact Ranger Letrics before ordering and we'll confirm compatibility.
Will this work with my vehicle?
This remote-start key is designed for compatible MY22+ Next-Gen Ford Ranger, Ranger Raptor, Everest and Ranger Super Duty vehicles equipped with a FordPass-supported factory remote-start system. It is not compatible with the Next-Gen Ranger XL. Contact Ranger Letrics before ordering if you’re unsure.
Do I need both original factory keys?
Yes. Two working factory key fobs are required for self-programming. If one original key is missing, a locksmith or Ford dealership may need to supply and program a replacement first.
Can I program the key myself?
Yes. The key is designed for straightforward self-programming using the supplied instructions. No wiring, additional modules or advanced technical skills are required.
Does the key replace FordPass?
No. FordPass can still be used where available. This key gives you a faster, dedicated way to remote-start the vehicle without opening the phone app.
What is the difference between OEM and aftermarket?
Both options provide the same core remote-start function. OEM is the genuine Ford option with the closest factory ownership experience. Aftermarket offers the same core operation at a lower price.
Is the physical metal key blade included?
Yes. The supplied physical metal key blade is aftermarket and uncut. A suitable locksmith can cut it if you want to use the mechanical key function.
How many keys can my vehicle store?
A vehicle can store a maximum of four key fobs in total, including the existing factory keys.
Will this require wiring or vehicle modifications?
No. The key uses the vehicle’s supported factory remote-start system and does not require additional wiring or control modules.
What warranty is included?
The key is covered by a 24-month warranty for eligible manufacturing faults, with Australian support available before and after purchase.
Can I return the key?
For security and resale reasons, opened or programmed keys may be excluded from change-of-mind returns. This does not limit any rights available under Australian consumer law.
Is local programming available?
Yes. Professional programming and selected FORScan services are available in Toowoomba through CoreDrive SEQ.
